Solidarity to the Filipino People! Oppose the US-Backed Marcos Regime!

ILPS-US and all of our members enjoin with the people of the Philippines and the Filipino people in the diaspora as they raise up their struggle in mobilizing against the US-backed fascist bureaucrat regimes of Marcos and Duterte.

As the people of the Philippines face ever-worsening crisis continually advanced by those in power selling out the Philippines to make it more subservient to the interests of US imperialists economically and politically, the bureaucrats in power continue to enrich themselves as they subjugate the Filipino people to worsening exploitation and oppression.

Devastating floods ravaged the country this year, but rather than ensuring proper safeguards were in place and quick response to address the people’s needs, the Marcos regime has instead funneled large amounts of money into the pockets of his ruling class cohorts through “ghost projects” under the guise of flood response. As the desperate US empire continues to fight to preserve and expand its economic, political, and military interests in the Asia Pacific region, it has ensured that the Philippines remains a useful pawn and key military outpost in its schemes to redivide the world in its favor.

In September 2025 the Filipino people marked a major advance in the growth of the mass movement and their resistance to corruption, bureaucrat capitalism, and imperialist domination. As the conditions worsen, the mass movement has only grown further, with thousands more marching on November 30th, raising the call to oust Marcos and Duterte for their crimes against the people.

Filipinos overseas, including in the US, continue to participate in the mass actions condemning government corruption alongside their counterparts in the Philippines. It is this systemic corruption, fueled by foreign investments and massive inequality in land ownership that has forced millions of Filipinos to migrate in the first place. As we look ahead to International Migrants Day on December 18th, we must celebrate the resistance of Filipino migrants seeking to end the root causes of forced migration from their homeland.

Amidst heightening state-led attacks on migrants, the struggles of migrant communities across the US and the world are building the anti-imperialist mass movement by exposing the realities of the people under US imperialism, drawing more migrants into the fight, and inspiring the people of the world to wage their own struggles and stand in international solidarity.
