Peace Forums Against U.S. Wars of Aggression
As the economic crisis of US imperialism intensifies, the US is inevitably turning to warfare in a desperate attempt to cling to its spheres of influence and retain its position as the top hegemon in the world. 2026 has been marked by Trump ramping up wars of aggression against the people of Palestine, Venezuela, and now Iran, in partnership with US-backed fascist regimes like Zionist “Israel,” while openly threatening to “take” Cuba and Greenland. These US-driven wars are aimed at claiming lands, markets, trade routes, resources and labor for the decaying US empire, and have already killed hundreds of thousands in the Global South and displacing millions. At the same time, the U.S. pumps over $1 trillion into the Department of War this year, simultaneously cutting millions for food programs, healthcare, and education. As the people of Palestine,
Korea, the Philippines, Puerto Rico and more continue to organize resistance to U.S. militarism and bases in their homelands, people across the U.S. are increasingly opposed to Trump’s war mongering, plunder of resources, corruption, fascism and violent oppression of migrants and everyday people. It is now more necessary and more opportune to grow and strengthen resistance and opposition to Trump’s wars of aggression and the imperialist interests driving his rotten regime. Not only must we raise up the level of our fights, but we must actively create opportunities to bring together our various fights into a unified struggle to strike blows at every expression of US-led war, militarism, and attacks on the people. In this context, we call on all progressive people and organizations to join in the convening of country-wide Peace Forums towards advancing united action together.
