OPPOSE US-ZIONIST AGGRESSION ON IRAN!
The International League of Peoples’ Struggle - US Country Chapter condemns the blatant act of aggression by the Zionist entity of “Israel” against the Islamic Republic of Iran with the full support of the US. This act is only in the strategic interests of the US and their imperialist allies along with the fanatic Zionist fascists and not at all in the interests of the people.
The US is the number one imperialist power in the world, and it maintains its global power through puppet and proxy states carrying out its will in the world. “Israel” is the largest recipient of military aid in the world, having received tens of billions of dollars worth of military equipment over the years. Every single bullet fired and bomb dropped by the Zionist entity on Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, or anywhere else has been provided by US tax dollars.
In official statements, the White House claimed that “Israel” acted without its knowledge, but Trump later admitted that he had been contacted by the Netanyahu regime beforehand, and a Zionist government statement came out saying that the US had “given them the greenlight.” By pointing to the action of its proxy satellite state, it is trying to avoid the blame. Yet, the US was relying on a strike against Iran which has destroyed people’s homes, major airports, and other civilian infrastructure to pressure the so-called “nuclear talks” to collapse and end Iran’s civilian nuclear program. Iran has made it clear it will never build a nuclear weapon, while the US is the state that brought nuclear weapons into the world and holds some of the largest stockpiles. Iran does not pose a threat to the peace and stability of the world; in fact, it is US imperialist aggression that is threatened by Iran’s existence as an independent nation standing in the way of complete US-Zionist domination over West Asia.
Palestine remains at the heart of the issue. “Israel” continues to commit genocide through indiscriminate bombing and shooting, forced starvation, and violent displacement. It has not been able to defeat the courageous and steadfast Palestinian resistance, despite the Palestinian people losing likely over 200,000 lives since the start of the Al Aqsa Flood campaign of national liberation. The US and “Israel” are hoping that a war with Iran will distract the world from the genocide, but the people of the US, Iran and the world continue to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance forces on the ground.
The people of the US gain nothing from aggressive attacks against Iran. This action brings the world closer to full-blown world war, and only the imperialists will gain from this profit-driven catastrophe to redivide the world’s land and resources among themselves.
ILPS-US calls on its members and enjoins others to wage the fight to Defend Peoples’ Struggle and demand People Over Profit against Trump’s fascism, the Zionist occupation, and the US build-up to World War Three. We commend people across the nation standing up and denouncing Trump's ghastly $40 million self celebratory military parade while he and Republicans take up drastic cuts to social services and Medicaid - to the detriment of millions of poor and working class people just barely getting by. We call for an end to the US-Zionist aggression on Iran and the genocide of Palestine, and we look forward to the continued building of the broad anti-imperialist united front of the people and all forces in opposition to US-led war as we fight for a bright socialist world and a just and lasting peace.
