From Venezuela to Palestine, Fight Against US Imperialist Wars and Fascism!
On this Global Day of Action, ILPS-US stands with the people of the world fighting back against US imperialist wars of aggression and plunder. In particular, we support the workers around the world who are linking their economic struggles to the issue of war and militarization, including the Mediterranean dock workers shutting down ports in an international strike for Palestine and against war! This imperialist system has a ravenous appetite for war and will continue to ramp up its military spending to defend its profit-seeking interests, while squeezing every last penny out of the working class to fund its attacks on the people domestically and abroad. It is the workers that wield the economic power and can lead the fight against the war economy through mass demonstrations, work stoppages, and ultimately, revolutionary struggle.
ILPS-US firmly takes a stand against the US-Led imperialist offensive in Latin America and the Caribbean and calls for No War On Venezuela and the immediate release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores and their safe return to Venezuela! It has already been 6 months since the US began its military posturing against Venezuela leading up to its flagrant extrajudicial killings of Venezuelan and other Latin American and Caribbean fisher-folk, illegal seizures of Venezuelan oil tankers and massive violation of the sovereign rights of Venezuela in its kidnapping and imprisonment of President Maduro and First Combatant Flores all under the flimsy claim of fighting narco terrorists.
The outrageous lies are easily unveiled when looking at US colonial and imperialist history in Latin America and across the globe and Trump's blatant declaration of his Trump Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine "to restore American preeminence in the Western Hemisphere, and to protect our homeland and our access to key geographies throughout the region.” These truths makes it all too clear — the US imperialists want to dominate this region and is threatening Greenland, Canada, Iran and Palestine to take control of all of their resources and land in a desperate attempt to regain control of its spot as number 1 imperialist in the world.
We see through Trump's so-called "Board of Peace" initiative not as a genuine effort to reconstruct the Gaza Strip but a mere facade of the monopoly capitalist ruling class to secure massive real estate and military contracts for their corporate power. In November of last year, ILPS took part in convening the International People's Tribunal held in Barcelona, Spain where the verdict was clear - the US & Zionist entity "Israel" are guilty of genocide, ecocide and forced starvation. The imperialists cannot wash their hands of the blood of the over 70,000 Palestinians they murdered in the past two years their vicious attempts to clear the people from their ancestral homes to make way for Trump's Riviera of the Middle East or Netanyahu's India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor.
The position as #1 imperialist is beginning to slipp out of US imperialism's hands and it can no longer rule with its facade of democracy for the people and is resorting to paramilitary aggression domestically with its use of ICE on the people in the US and with military aggression on countries abroad. Ultimately, US imperialism may be more dangerous than ever, but that is because it is weaker and more vulnerable than ever before.
The ILPS-US uplifts the international call to stand with Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean and Against the US-Led Imperialist Offensive! From the people of Venezuela waging their Bolivarian Revolution, to the people in the streets marching outside of the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City calling for Maduro and Flores to be released — the people are fighting back! So too the people of Palestine, who despite the ravages of the genocide and ecocide, continue to resist their illegal occupation and refuse to give up their rights to their land and their self-determination. ILPS-US uplifts the Palestinian people's steadfast determination to win their liberation through struggle and tremendous sacrifice, and calls for the continued massive show of international solidarity to Free Palestine!
